Family and friends honored the life of a young man Monday with a sign on Macquesten Boulevard, across the street from where he was killed in March.
Family members say Donovan Brown, who would've been 25 years old, was killed when he tried to help a friend who was robbed outside of an apartment building.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the homicide. That includes 19-year-old Tasjawn White, who was charged with second-degree murder.
Brown worked as a lifeguard at the YMCA in New Rochelle before his death.
His family and friends say they hope his death will be the last senseless death in the city.
