Prosecutor: Fire that killed teen, dog said to be accidental

Authorities say an early morning house fire in Middletown that killed an 18-year-old woman and a pet dog was accidental.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says Aubree Larusso was found dead in a bedroom of her family's home after the fire, which started around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Larusso’s mother, brother and a family friend escaped the fire unharmed. A pet dog was also found deceased in the home.
Prosecutors say that after firefighters were able to get the fire under control, an on-scene investigation determined that the cause of the fire was accidental.
Firefighters from six companies responded. County prosecutors and the fire marshal's office are investigating along with Middletown police.
Anyone with information is asked to call prosecutors at 1-800-533-7443 or Middletown police at 732-775-1996.
