Family: 78-year-old recovering after struck in Port Chester hit-and-run

Police are searching for a driver in connection with a hit-and-run in Port Chester around 5 p.m. last Tuesday.
Police say 78-year-old Jose Cortes was trying to cross North Main Street when a woman driving an SUV struck him.
The driver has not yet been found or come forward. New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Investigators say they are looking for surveillance video that may help catch the driver. She is described as having light skin and dark hair. The car is believed to be a light-colored or silver Ford Explorer or Expedition.
Cortes suffered broken toes and bruising on his legs, arms and hips. His family says he is recovering.
The family is urging the driver to come forward, and police are asking anyone who may have seen the accident to come forward.
