Softball teams raise funds for Michael Nolan scholarship

Hundreds took to the softball field to raise money for a scholarship that honors a shooting victim.
The money is being raised in the name of Michael Nolan, an MLB prospect who was killed in 2015 during a drive-by shooting while he was eating in a restaurant.
Nolan was targeted, but was mistaken by his killers for someone else.
Michael's brother James set up the scholarship as a way to honor his memory.
He says the fundraising event has continued to grow, and it's now in its third year.
Many came a long way to participate, including Jerry Bosco, who is from Chicago. Bosco was the recipient of Nolan's pancreas as an organ recipient.
The 21 softball teams at Cook Field are hoping to raise $10,000 to go toward eight Yonkers scholarships.
