Business Briefs: Tesla, Nike lawsuit, scooter discounts

Tesla's board is looking into CEO Elon Musk's offer to take the company private, according to CNBC. They say a meeting is planned next week and they are prepared to ask Musk to recuse himself from the review process. Musk announced the proposal this week with a tweet.

Nike has been hit with a gender discrimination lawsuit. According to Cheddar, two women are suing their former employer, claiming a culture of unequal compensation and sexual harassment. Nike has acknowledged the problems, including salary adjustments to address wage disparities.

The Lime company says it is expanding its "access" program that offers large discounts on scooters for people who qualify for government assistance. It also lets riders purchase passes with cash rather than a credit card.
