Nassau Girl Scouts celebrate National S’mores Day

Girl Scouts from Nassau County celebrated National S’mores Day Friday in the most traditional of ways.
The most popular campfire treat is recognized each year on Aug. 10.
The girls gathered at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Service Center in Garden City to learn how to build their own fire pits and fire starters out of terra cotta flower pots with aluminum foil and charcoal.
They even got to enjoy the fruits of their labor with s’mores treats that they made themselves.
