New York City is seeking proposals from developers to build Brooklyn's answer to Hollywood.
The New York City Economic Development Corp. launched a request for a proposal to build a best-in-class industrial facility at Bush Terminal on the waterfront. City officials are seeking a 200,000-square-foot entertainment facility.
"We want to make sure that we're really promoting architectural excellence as well as really fitting into the industrial waterfront," says Stacey Weismiller, vice president of NYCEDC.
The proposal is all part of the city's wider revitalization plan for Bush Terminal. Officials are also looking to include garment manufacturing to bring jobs to the area.
The EDC hopes to complete the project by 2022. All proposals are due by Nov. 2.
