The family of a Woodbridge man says that they are seeking justice after the father was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking along Routes 1&9 in Woodbridge.
It has been nearly two weeks since John Kukuch was killed and no arrests have been made.
The family says that Kukuch was talking on the highway near Value City Furniture around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 13 when he was struck by a dark-colored SUV. The driver did not stop.
Police say that they have surveillance video of the SUV, but say that they were unable to get a license plate number.
Kukuch’s family posted a sign in the area where he was killed that says, “My daddy was killed here on 8/13. Please help us find the driver." Kukuch was the father to 8-year-old John Jr.
“Anything at this point is helpful,” says sister Jennifer Bentivenga. “We are pleading for help because although it’s not going to bring him back, it’s just going to help us move forward and heal properly.”
A GoFundMe Page was created to help raise money for a reward for anyone who can help provide information leading to an arrest. Over $6,000 has been raised.
