Yorktown woman volunteers to help with Florence response

A Yorktown woman is heading down to the Carolinas to help the area recover from Hurricane Florence.
Elizabeth Anderson, a Red Cross volunteer, is on her way to Myrtle Beach to help out in the hurricane zone.
She says once she arrives, she'll help build storm shelters and assist those who are in jeopardy of losing their homes. “I feel I've had a lucky life and for me to help those that are suffering or that have had something horrible happen to them, this will be very meaningful for me," says Anderson.
Anderson joins at least 20 volunteers from the greater New York region for a two-week deployment.
