A man was shot inside of a Brooklyn sports bar, police say.

The incident happened Wednesday inside of 4102 Church Ave. around 1:15 a.m.

Police say a 51-year-old man was shot in the back while sitting inside of the bar.

The man was shot by a suspect who police say fired a gun from outside of the bar and through the front door of the business.

The man who was shot was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say a person of interest was taken into custody. However, they are only being questioned.

A gun was recovered at the scene from underneath a car parked outside.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
