A man is suing the Yonkers Fire Department and the City of Yonkers after he was allegedly attacked by off-duty firefighters.

According to a notice of claim, Keith Lowell was standing outside at the City Lights Gentleman's Club in June when members of the fire department attacked him.

Lowell claims the City of Yonkers is liable for their acts.

However, the city says it is not responsible because the incident happened while the firefighters were off duty.

Two men have been charged with assault.
