The Montgomery School District has parted ways with a bus driver who got lost with 37 students aboard on the first day of school.
The incident happened back on Sept. 6 when the male driver left Orchard Hill Elementary School and became lost.
According to Superintendent Nancy Gartenberg, he was unfamiliar with the route and failed to go on a practice run.
School officials said next year, drivers will be required to report to the transportation office in order to ensure they practiced their routes.
The driver has not been identified.
