High school wrestling coach sentenced for rapePosted: Updated:
A former Edgemont High School wrestling coach was sentenced Tuesday in White Plains County Court after pleading guilty to rape charges.
Tyler Sick, 30, received 10 years' probation after he admitted back in July to raping a teenage girl.
At the time, Sick was a teacher in the Bronx and a coach at Edgemont High School.
Sick pleaded guilty to two felony rape counts for having sex with a girl who was younger than 17.
Prosecutors say the first rape happened while Sick was living in Tarrytown in June of 2016. They say the second one took place in Greenburgh in December of 2016.
Sick will have to register as a sex offender.
As part of his probation, Sick had to surrender his teaching license. He now lives in North Carolina, but the judge ordered him to stay in Westchester until his probation is transferred there.
