Republican gubernatorial candidate Marc Molinaro hosted a town hall event at Napper Tandy in Smithtown Sunday.
The Dutchess county executive slammed Gov. Andrew Cuomo for remarks he made when he said America was “never all that great.”
While Molinaro attacked Cuomo for his comments on President Trump's famous "Make America Great Again" catchphrase, some are asking Molinaro to clarify his opinion of the president himself.
Independent candidate Stephanie Miner wants Molinaro to take a stance.
Molinaro has said he did not vote for Trump, and disagrees with some of his policies.
Molinaro's Democratic opponent, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is set to visit Long Island on Monday evening.
He's scheduled to be the keynote speaker at Nassau's annual Democratic Dinner in Woodbury.
The private event is taking place at the Crest Hollow Country Club at 6 p.m.
