Hundreds of new students got a chance to see if they want to set sail on a new career in the maritime industry.

A total of 400 students met at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to learn about careers in the maritime industry.

The New York City Economic Development Corporation said the goal was for the students to see everything from equipment that is used to handle shipping containers, to vessels from the NYPD Harbor Unit, to the NYC Ferry.
