While Brooklyn has changed a lot in the past 100 years, one Williamsburg spot is still serving up the same legendary steak that made it famous for generations.
Peter Luger Steakhouse's owner says the restaurant has been in his family for four generations.
"Originally it was Carl Luger's Cafe and Billiards when it opened in 1887. My great grandfather started Forman Family across the street and this was his go-to business place," says Daniel Turtel.
When the owner, Peter Luger, died, Sol Forman decided purchased the restaurant.
Turtel says the recipes to what he calls the best steaks anyone can find are top secret.
He says the restaurant only uses the best products for their meats.
"My grandmother, she was the first one to go out and really make it a science. We only look at USDA prime," says Turtel.
