Voting machines get mixed up in Westchester

Voting got off to a chaotic start in two Westchester communities today.

Valhalla and Briarcliff Manor had an election snafu when their voting machines got mixed up and were delivered to the wrong locations.

According to the Board of Elections, the Briarcliff High School voting machines were delivered to Valhalla United Methodist Church, and Valhalla’s wound up in Briarcliff.

Early morning voters had to cast their ballots by manually filling out affidavits.

It took a few hours, but by 9 a.m. the correct machines were delivered.
