A signature fundraising event at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla was in full swing Thursday.
The 14th Annual Radiothon is bringing the community together to raise funds for children who receive care at the medical center.
Last year, the hospital raised $350,000, and it's hoping to surpass that amount this year. All of the funds raised from this event stay in the hospital.
Over 30 families were at the event, sharing their lifesaving and uplifting success stories over the airwaves to raise awareness. “I realized these aren't ordinary doctors, these are angels here, part of our family, they saved our baby and they continue to follow up with us," says Ann-Marie Federico, a patient's mom.
The radiothon continues until Friday morning.
