Huntington cracks down on illegal handicapped parking

The Town of Huntington is cracking down on cars illegally parked in handicapped-accessible spaces around busy shopping areas this holiday season.
Wielding a camera and a keen eye, Paul Warburgh is on the lookout for drivers who are illegally parking in handicapped spots or fire zones.
Warburgh has been a parking violation volunteer for the Town of Huntington for the last five years. Now with area parking lots bursting at the seams with holiday shoppers, the town is stepping up volunteer and police patrols looking for violators.
The fine, town officials say, is $230 for a handicapped spot.
Volunteers say the number of people parking illegally in handicap zones doubles this time of year.
It's not just the holidays when the parking volunteers are out. They work year-round.
