Nassau firefighters prepare to visit America's wounded warriors

Some Long Island firefighters are hitting the road to pay tribute to America's wounded warriors.
Monday was loading day for Operation Wounded Warrior. Nassau County firefighters filled up two U-Hauls with gifts that will go to military bases and hospitals on the East Coast.
The gifts range from blankets and toys to electronics, some of which were donated by P.C. Richard & Son.
The firefighters plan to visit 900 wounded warriors, many of whom have suffered life-changing injuries. Their planned visits include Walter Reed in Washington, D.C., Fort Belvoir in Virginia, Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
Operation Wounded Warrior is now in its 14th year.
