Yonkers fire kills 69-year-old woman

A 69-year-old woman died Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in her Yonkers apartment.
The fire broke out around 8:45 a.m. at 131 Park Ave., which houses both a dental office and residential units.
The first arriving fire company on the scene was able to remove Ida Martinez from her apartment. She was given CPR and rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
More than 40 firefighters battled the fire. It shut down a section of Park Avenue for hours.

Crews knocked down the blaze in about a half-hour.
News 12 has learned that one firefighter suffered a minor injury.
