A driver lost control of a crane truck Wednesday, and it went crashing into a North Salem home.

The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. on Lakeside Drive.

Officials say that the Osorio Tree Service crane truck malfunctioned as a worker was cutting down trees behind the house.  As a result, the boom of the crane went crashing into the summer cottage.

Because it is a summer cottage, no one was in the home at the time.

The crane truck driver was not injured.
