One Bronx high school basketball team has reunited after 35 years since they were on top of New York City basketball.
Rod Strickland has played at the highest levels of basketball, but still refers lovingly to the hoops played in his home in the Bronx.
"I tell people, the purest basketball is right here," Strickland says. "I remember those days, so when I walked into this gym, first of all I remember us winning, then I remember all the friends."
The team came back together Thursday 35 years after winning a city and state championship at Truman Hugh School. Their head coach Steve Lappas, went on to coach at Manhattan College and Villanova University.
Many players say this was the first time they stepped foot in Truman High School since they graduated more than three decades ago, but the memories rushed back quickly.
