Police: Man yanked woman out of car in Hunts Point, drove off

Police are looking for the man they say yanked a woman out of her car and drove away with it.
Police say it happened on Friday, Dec. 7 in Hunts Point when the suspect walked up to the female victim as she sat in her vehicle on Intervale Avenue.
The suspect then allegedly opened her front door and tried to pull her out of the car.
The 48-year-old victim fought back, trying to stay in her car, but police say the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened her.
That is when officers say the victim revealed she had money in her purse, but it was too late. Police say the suspect then managed to pull her out of the car and drive away.
News 12 is told that the car was later found just blocks away but without the victim’s purse inside.
The victim escaped with just a minor cut on her hand.
