Couple torn apart by war marries after decades of separation

A couple torn apart by the Vietnam War and separated for decades is now married.
News 12's Tara Rosenblum and Scott McGee first reported on this story back in April after hearing about a couple who had planned to reunite after five decades apart. The couple had reconnected on Facebook, and News 12 was at the Westchester County Airport when Christine Delise and John Bartalotta first saw each other again.
News 12 later learned that Delise and Bartalotta gave up a baby up for adoption when they were teenagers after he was drafted and sent to Vietnam. They say they regretted the decision, but after decades of searching for Donna Marie, her fate remained a mystery - until News 12's story aired.
It seems Donna Marie's adopted parents died, and when she tried to locate her biological family, a Google search turned up News 12's original story. Their reunion played out three weeks later.
Now, the couple celebrated their anniversary this weekend at Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls. They are currently living in Dutchess County.
Donna Marie lives with her husband and children in South Florida.
