Two teens were stabbed in Morris Heights after an early morning dispute onboard a city bus Friday.
Police say a 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest and a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the neck and torso. It happened on the Bx36 bus.
Officials say the two boys and their 12-year-old sister were on their way to school when they saw a man described as being between 40 and 50 years old. They say the three siblings have had problems with this man before.
One of the boys told police the man made a comment toward his sister so he and his brother defended her. That's when police say the man stabbed the two boys.
A witness says they could hear yelling from outside the bus. The person says the man stabbed them and immediately ran away.
The fight broke out in front of the school campus at P.S. 306 and M.S. 331.
The campus did shelter in place for a brief moment earlier in the day as a precaution, but that lockdown was lifted shortly after.
