Report: Trump’s Bedminster golf club under investigation for immigration fraud
The Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster is under investigation by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, according to a report by the New York Daily News.
The investigation follows claims of harassment and immigration fraud made by several current and former housekeepers at the resort. They says that they were threatened and called racial slurs while working there.
Two housekeepers at the club came forward with their accusations in an interview with the New York Times earlier this month. The women allege their supervisor gave them fake work permits and threatened to report them if they spoke out.
A spokesperson for the attorney representing the housekeepers tells News 12 New Jersey that the attorney has had contact with the attorney general’s office.
Calls to the attorney general made by News 12 to confirm the investigation were not returned.
