A coyote or a fox was spotted in Tuckahoe on Friday.

Police say residents noticed the animal as either a coyote or a fox between backyards on Dante Avenue and Bella Vista Street.

Officials are warning residents that these animals tend to make appearances in the village.

The Department of Environmental Conservation warns not to feed the animals.

If one seems to be acting aggressive, they say to stand tall and hold out your arms to look large.

They also advise neighbors to keep an eye on pets and contact local officials if the animals are acting bold.
