Fight over parking spot results in stabbing

An Ossining man is accused of stabbing a 22-year-old man on New Year’s Day after the two argued and then fought over a parking spot.

Anthony Acosta, 39, has been charged with assault in connection with the stabbing.

Police say the stabbing happened after Acosta got into an argument with a man in the parking lot at the Cortlandt Ridge apartment complex on Van Cortlandt Avenue around 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say that the victim is in serious conditions.

Acosta was being held on $50,000 bond.

Police say they are searching for the weapon. They were back on the scene Wednesday using a drone to search nearby roofs for the knife.
