A Suffern woman was arrested on DWI charges after crashing her car into a tree in Nyack on Sunday evening.

Orangetown police say Hillary Herman, 43, was in the driver's seat, with the car still running, when they arrived on the scene near Main Street and Broadway.

Herman failed a Breathalyzer test and has been charged with aggravated DWI.

She was released on bail, and is due back in Nyack Justice Court on Jan. 29.
