Byram Hills HS students named top scholars in Regeneron talent search

Several students in Armonk are being honored for their exceptional research skills and commitment to science.

Seven elite student scientists from Byram Hills High School were named top scholars in the prestigious Regeneron Science Talent Search.

The honor recognizes the work of these now seniors, from their time in a three-year Authentic Research Program.

Rachel Chernoff and her Armonk peers are among 29 local finalists and 300 students nationwide moving on to the next round.

Byram Hills High School is already receiving $2,000 per student - that's $14,000 - for science and math education.

The future leaders in science and math will find out if they will compete in Washington as a finalist at the end of January. They have a chance to win more than $1 million in prizes.
