A new study has found that New Jersey ranks No. 11 in most educated states in the nation.
The study, by the
financial website WalletHub, looked at factors like school quality and achievement caps between genders and races. New Jersey also had one of the highest percentages of people with bachelor’s degrees.
There are 2,500 schools in New Jersey in 670 school districts. New Jersey has more than 116,000 teachers.
States that ranked above New Jersey include Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland and Vermont.
Mississippi was found to be the least educated state, along with West Virginia and Louisiana, according to the study.
