Police: Mount Hope tobacco store employee pistol whipped during robbery

Police say a store employee was pistol whipped during a commercial robbery in Mount Hope this morning.
Police tell News 12 the two suspects accused of the vicious robbery at a tobacco store at Jerome and East Burnside avenues are still on the run.
Officials say the two men, one wearing a red hoodie with a mask and another dressed all in black, pistol whipped an employee of the store, stealing $400 and a couple cartons of cigarettes.
Police say it all happened early this morning just before 2 a.m.
News 12 is told the employee who was hit with the gun refused medical attention.
No arrests have been made.
