PELHAM MANOR -

Westchester County police say they pursued a stolen car Tuesday on the Hutchinson River Parkway in a chase that ended with two arrested in Pelham Manor.

Authorities say two men were inside a stolen Infiniti with fake New Jersey plates on the parkway around 12 p.m.  when they attempted to avoid a traffic stop.

Officials say they fled southbound on the parkway until they took the Pelham Manor exit.

Witnesses say the pursuit ended after the Infiniti ran a red light and was struck by the pursuing police car. The Infiniti also struck a Suburu before the two suspects fled on foot through streets and backyards. They were apprehended a short time later.

The names of the suspects and their charges were not yet immediately known.
