Police: 1 injured in Newburgh shooting

NEWBURGH -

One person was injured in a shooting in Newburgh.

Police say the incident happened early Friday morning in the area of Johnston and Campbell streets.

Officers say they arrived to find a male near the curb who suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, but there is no word on his condition.
