TARRYTOWN -

Expect delays on the New York State Thruway near the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge over the next several days.

Tappan Zee Constructors says that starting today, lane closures on the Rockland-bound side of the Thruway will be in effect.

Beginning at 6 a.m., one left northbound lane will be closed from Exit 8 to Exit 10 on I-87 and I-287.

Closures are expected to end around 3 p.m. each day.

Crews will be making road improvements as well as removing material from the Hudson River following the demolition of the old Tappan Zee Bridge.
