The Hudson Valley is going o0ut of its way to thank veterans this Valentine’s Day.
Hundreds of handmade Valentine's Day cards have been collected and distributed at Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney's office in Newburgh.
It's called "Valentines for Vets," and it's the fifth year the Congressman's office has gotten the cards from area schools and businesses to give out. "It's terrific to just be able to say thank you in person. I think it sounds like a little thing, but it's actually very moving when you see the messages that people write," says Maloney.
Some of the cards were hand-delivered to vets at Castle Point. Others were given to members of the military and veteran's groups to distribute.
