Greenburgh DPW crews ready to take on winter stormPosted: Updated:
Crews around the Hudson Valley spent Monday prepping roads for Tuesday's expected snowfall.
DPW plow trucks in Greenburgh were loaded up with salt and were ready to hit the roads Tuesday morning.
Around 35 road workers were expected to be out along 30 square miles of Greenburgh streets around 6 a.m.
Town leaders were prepared to be in close communication with police to assess the weather as it progresses.
Town Supervisor Paul Feiner reminded residents to be patient with Greenburgh's DPW. He says if you see a plow truck on the road not to assume the road will be cleared immediately, and that it all depends on how fast snow falls and how much accumulates Tuesday.
"We want people to feel safe and good about the town, and be happy the town is responsive to their concerns," says Feiner.
Feiner says there's plenty of brine and salt budgeted for the weather event and for the rest of the season.
