A Hamburg woman is accused of assaulting a police officer who was responding to a dispute at a restaurant.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Brick and Brew on Route 23 in Franklin Borough.

Police say 38-year-old Danielle Kapetanakis attempted to attack a person at the restaurant with whom she was engaged in a verbal dispute. She then allegedly assaulted a responding officer, hitting him in the eye with her elbow and injuring him.

Police say Kapetanakis also had an outstanding warrant in Butler. She was being held at the Sussex County Jail.
