Students buy their own mouse traps after alleged rodent infestation at university

An alleged rodent infestation is creating frustration at Monmouth University after the campus newspaper reported students are now buying their own traps to catch mice.
According to reports, the students are finding the mice inside residence halls.
But officials also said that there hasn't been a reported sighting in a week.
"Our contracted exterminator regularly visits our campus twice a week and has treated Elmwood Hall specifically on three occasions so far this month, most recently on Feb. 12,” says Patricia Swannack, Monmouth University VP for Admin. “We have not received any new reports of sightings since a week ago, and we remain diligent in educating our students and staff on the importance of proper food disposal and elimination of clutter."
Campus officials tell News 12 New Jersey that one student has been moved upon request.
