Demonstrators protest national emergency declaration in Norwalk
Protesters in Norwalk and across the country took a stand against the national emergency declaration.
Demonstrators lined the Washington Street Bridge Monday holding signs and waving at cars.
Organizers say it was all in the name of defending democracy.
"It's really urgent that members of the public step up and be present for what's going on and participate in whatever way they can, even if it’s a small way or making a phone call or doing something to protect our rights,” said Batya Diamond.
Counter-protesters were also there, but there was no conflict.
