Crash sends car careening into Plainview house; 4 hurt

A crash between two vehicles Friday sent a car into a Plainview home, injuring four people in total.
Shortly before 10 a.m., police say a crash involving a truck and a car caused the truck to slam into a utility pole at the corner of Manetto Hill Road and Country Drive. The car crashed into Harry Johal's downstairs living room, sending debris in all directions.
Johal says his brother was in the room at the time, converting it into a play area for his niece and nephew.
Johal and other family members scrambled to pull his brother out of the rubble.
Police say Johal's brother, the driver of the car and two people inside the truck suffered minor injuries.
Neighbors say motorists often treat the curvy Manetto Hill Road like a speedway.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Johal says his family likely won't convert the downstairs living room at this point. The family plans to put metal railing around the side of the house as a layer of protection against future accidents.
