Police: 3 people hospitalized in Ossining slashing

OSSINING -

Multiple people were hospitalized in a slashing incident in Ossining early Sunday morning.

Ossining police tell News 12 a slashing on Broad Avenue sent three people to the hospital.

They are reportedly in stable condition.

It's not clear how many people were involved or what the altercation was about, but police say they are looking into leads.

This is apparently not the first time an incident like this has happened here.

Police say they are concerned because Broad Street is loaded with families and young children playing in the street.

"One of the things that's really concerning to us is that people don't always feel comfortable cooperating with the police department in cases like this," says Chief Kevin Sylvester. "So our big push for today is to encourage everyone that lives in the neighborhood that if you saw anything or you know anything, absolutely get in contact with us."
