Police in Newark say three pit bulls attacked and bit a man and woman.

Police in Newark say three pit bulls attacked and bit a man and woman.
The incident happened Sunday shortly before 1:30 p.m. along the 100-block of South 7th Street.
According to police, the two pedestrians were walking down the street when they encountered the three dogs -- and were bitten by them.
Police say they were taken to University Hospital and are expected to be OK.
The owner was eventually found.
There is no word on any charges.
