PGA Championship road closures impede Farmingdale school bus routes

Road closures for the PGA Championship at Bethpage State Park created an unexpected problem Monday for Farmingdale students and parents.
Michelle Faber says her daughter couldn't catch her bus at her regular stop Monday morning. She says the bus appeared to be going back and forth, unsure of where to go.
Faber says she was told the barriers would be open to allow buses to pass through.
Mayor Ralph Ekstrand says plan adjustments are always needed on the first day.
Ryan Worner, of Farmingdale, has been through previous tournaments and says he learned to adjust.
Faber says her daughter’s drop-off Monday afternoon went smoothly.
