Family and friends came together Sunday to remember and honor a Marine who died in the first Gulf War in 1991.
Major Eugene T. McCarthy was 35 when his gunship crashed while flying a support mission during Operation Desert Storm.
The Fraser Civic Association and the Marine Corps League hold the ceremony every year in his honor. It's held at the Major McCarthy Triangle.
Organizers say this ceremony is done each year on the Sunday between Mother's Day and Memorial Day.
