‘We're concerned about safety’ – Neighborhood missing street light

Residents in Prospect Lefferts Gardens say lack of street lights on their block is causing problems for the community.
Neighbors say that Sterling Street between Bedford Avenue and Washington Avenue has been without one of its street lights for months.
They've called 311, Con Edison and the borough president's office for help but say nothing has been done.
They're also saying the area that has been left in darkness is dangerous for the people who live on the block, especially the seniors.
"We're concerned about safety,” said neighbor Jeffrey Grannum. “A lot of folks are out late coming and going and without the supplemental light from the homeowners, it's pitch black behind me."

News 12 reached out to Con Edison and the Department of Transportation. They both say they are aware of the problem and are working closely together to address the issue.
