NYPD: Brooklyn man suspected of pulling subway emergency brake at least 40 times

Police say they've arrested a Brooklyn man Friday who is suspected of pulling emergency brakes on subway trains at least 40 times.

They say they arrested Isaiah Thompson, 23, on a series of charges including reckless endangerment just before 12:30 a.m.

Thompson is accused of hopping onto a northbound 2 train at West 14th Street and 7th Avenue, opening the rear door and riding several stops outside the subway car just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators say he then pulled the emergency brake.

No injuries were reported.

Police say Thompson has also exposed himself to passengers on the platform while riding outside the train in another incident.

Officials say while Thompson is under investigation for pulling emergency brakes on trains multiple times, he has only been charged in those two incidents.
