Memorial Day parade held in Glenville

The Glenville community held its annual Memorial Day parade Sunday.
The parade has been a tradition since 1947 and started out as a way to honor military members from the town.
People marched from Glenville Street to the Glenville Fire House, including Gov. Ned Lamont and Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
Following the parade, a wreath laying ceremony was held at the Veterans Monument.
The Glenville Volunteer Fire Company and the 9th District Veterans Association put on the parade and ceremony.
