MOUNT KISCO -

A Guatemalan man, who police say fled the country 30 years ago during his rape trial, has been arrested after returning to Mount Kisco.

Officials say that Nelson Gustovo Caceres, 51, was taken into custody this past weekend while visiting a village deli.

He was convicted of attempted rape in 1989 and sentenced in absentia to up to 15 years behind bars.

Caceres is now facing an additional charge of bail jumping in the second degree, a felony.
